Prayer for Cleansing

O Beloved Spirit,
May we see and be seen by You.
To see,
not as we’ve been taught to see,
not as we think we should see,
but to see clean
washed free of the pre-conceived;
but to see clear
cleansed of
the labels and the abstractions;
but to see attuned
bathed in the song
so resonant in the Moment.

O Beloved Spirit,
May we see and be seen by You.
To be seen,
not as we think we are
nor as we aspire to be,
but to be seen clean
washed free of
what we have not forgiven;
but to be seen clear
cleansed of
our self-damning judgments;
but to be seen attuned
bathed in the song
native to our core.

O Beloved Spirit,
May we see and be seen by you.
May we be cleared, cleansed, attuned
brought into a balance
of righted vision and righted action,
of sweet contemplation and sustaining deeds,
of mystic union and joyful achievements.
May we be so reverently
cleared, cleansed, attuned
and rebalanced
that we may see, truly see,
and be seen, truly be seen--
by you, O Beloved Spirit.
