Thurman: Chapter 3
In Chapter 3, Thurman says, "The universe is now conceived, not as some tidy little restricted collection of planets and their sun, governed by arbitrary power of deterministic forces, but as a space-time manifold of almost unbelievable magnitude and a history going back towards, but never reaching, a beginning and a future of unlimited time, with a capacity for self-regulation and self-direction.”
Here's a link to a video that gives some visual perspective to this "space-time manifold of almost unbelievable magnitude" that Thurman describes in this chapter. Prepare to be mind-boggled for about 30 minutes!
