Prayer to the Hallowing of the Temple

O Beloved Spirit,

Hallowed be thy presence
in this temple of ours…
veined in blood and fired by breath-- 
held together by remnants of stars.

Hallowed be thy presence
in this temple of ours…
the chambers of our hearts
rejuvenate the life-blood
that fills our days
with beauty, with imagination, with love.

Hallowed be thy presence
in this temple of ours…
our essence infused with a holy breath
that travels throughout our far reaches
and brings to fruition a full disclosure of the divine--
a full immersion into the mystery.

Hallowed be thy presence
in this temple of ours…
latent in the rod, 
sealed in the shoot,
secreted in the stave,
expectant with buds and blossoms and ripe almonds.

Hallowed be thy presence
in this temple of ours…
veined in blood and fired by breath-- 
held together by remnants of stars.

May we call forth the stars inherent in our matter.
May we call forth the buds and blossoms and ripe almonds
integral to our priestly calling.
May we recall that we are more than what we do,
we are manifestations, revelations, epiphanies.
Hallowed be thy presence in this temple of ours.
